House Passes Joint Resolution to Continue Funding Until March 18th

H J Res 44 which continues funding the Federal Government for two weeks until March 18th was received in the House from the Senate, and was passed by a 335-91 vote. The bill now goes on to the President for signing.

Six Republicans joined 85 Democrats in opposing the Joint Resolution largely on grounds that it did not cut spending sufficiently. The six Republicans who stood firm on principle were: Amash (MI-3), Bachmann (MN-6), Gohmert (TX-1), Jones (NC-3), King (IA-5), and Paul (TX-14).
